I graduated from Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto in July 2007. I am currently a post-doctoral scholar working on modeling carbon nanotube production by induction thermal plasma in collaboration with Université de Sherbrooke.
For my Ph.D. research project, at the Center for Advanced Coating Technologies (CACT), I developed a new method for measuring surface tension of materials with high melting point. This project required various experiments and numerical modelings.

My research interests include experimental and numerical study of nanotechnology and synthesis of nanoparticles, carbon nanotube production, fluid properties measurement, capillary and interfacial phenomena, high melting point materials, plasma science, thermal spray coating, and image analysis.
I received my M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, the Energy Conversion option, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with the Thermofluids option from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, in 2000.
